Firefly’s educational classes are designed for students who want to grow in musical theatre while also building confidence, friendships, discipline, and belonging. For many families, Firefly has been a place where a child felt safe enough to try something new, step outside their comfort zone, and discover what they’re capable of.

Each class is a true rehearsal process that culminates in a full production. Along the way, students learn acting, music, choreography, teamwork, and the responsibility of being part of an ensemble. Parents often tell us they see growth not just in skill, but in confidence and joy—and that Firefly becomes a place their child looks forward to each week.

We also want to be clear about what these classes are and what they are not. Our classes are not drop-in enrichment or passive participation programs. They are intentional, team-centered educational experiences for students who are ready to focus, prepare, stay engaged, and work hard. Experience is not the most important thing to us—we can teach theatre skills. What matters most is a student’s willingness to listen, learn, practice at home, contribute positively, and show up for their team.

That commitment is what makes the experience work. When every student is invested in the process, the room becomes a positive, focused environment where real growth happens. Parents often describe Firefly as a place where their children have a blast, gain confidence, and leave with a real sense of accomplishment.
