About our touring production

This spring, a talented cast of homeschool students will take Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. on the road as part of a special community tour presented by Firefly Creative. We’re thrilled to bring these lively, interactive performances completely FREE of charge to schools, libraries, community centers, retirement homes, and more. Audiences will enjoy iconic, fun-filled songs like “Conjunction Junction,” “I’m Just a Bill,” and “Interjections”—musical numbers that have educated and entertained generations of children and families.

This tour offers homeschool students the opportunity to showcase their theatrical talents while bringing the joy of live performance to local venues. Entirely funded by generous donations and successful fundraising efforts, this production spreads the magic of learning through music, captivating audiences of all ages across the Mid-South and inspiring the next generation of performers and storytellers.

Plot Summary of Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.:
Based on the Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning cartoon series, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is a fast-paced, energetic musical that brings the classic songs you know and love to life. The story follows Tom, a nervous young teacher preparing for his first day of school. As he anxiously rehearses his lesson plans, his imagination springs to life, conjuring up a cast of lively characters who help him learn how to engage and inspire his students. Together, they take the audience on a fun-filled journey through subjects like grammar, math, history, and science with catchy songs and dynamic choreography. Full of humor and heart, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. is an unforgettable theatrical experience for audiences of all ages!
